Dina Bdaiwi, she/her, is a dually registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and Professional Clinical Counselor. Dina has familiarity with American Sign Language, Arabic, and Spanish; and the cultures that come with being Deaf/Hard of Hearing, Arab, and Latinx. Dina is a queer, mixed, Arab and Latinx immigrant woman who grew up in Southern California. Dina obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Social Behavior with a minor in Gender and Sexuality Studies from the University of California Irvine and worked at the LGBTQ+ Resource Center on campus, learning to provide education and resources regarding gender and sexuality. Dina earned her Master of Science in Counseling and Clinical Mental Health from California State University Fullerton and worked at the Asian Pacific American Resource Center as a Social Justice Student Advocate. Dina is EMDR trained through EMDR-HAP and provides EMDR assessments and sessions. Her emphasis is on body image, disordered eating, LGBTQ+, adolescents, third culture kids, and identity. Dina takes a relational-cultural, harm reductionist, HAES, and feminist+queer approach to therapy. Dina provides narrative therapy through a feminist lens, promoting introspection and self-empowerment to reauthor life stories.
