About Provider
My devotion to my family and my upbringing inspired me to further understand the impacts of mental health on early childhood, growth, and development. I began working as a therapist at a community mental health agency where I provided crisis intervention, assessment, and counseling to a range of clients, aged 2 to late adulthood. The focus of my work was on providing support, referrals, and advocacy for victims of domestic violence, abuse, and neglect. I eventually transitioned to working as a director of an outpatient program that offers services to clients of all ages and with a wide range of mental health issues. Throughout my years, I noticed how common trauma occurs throughout different life stages and received specialized training as a certified clinical trauma professional (CCTP). My work as a director led me to become an approved clinical supervisor, allowing me to train other professionals in the field. I consider myself to be a compassionate, allied, and enthusiastic therapist; my style of counseling is integrative and strength-based. I work with clients to educate them so that they feel empowered and capable of reaching their own goals. I truly believe in my clients’ abilities to foster personal growth and expansion given the right tools. Given every client has a unique life story, I tailor my approach to meet their individualized needs. In addition I provide services in Spanish.
